Christian is the Vice President, Financial Services & Mobile Commerce, for R3D Consulting Inc., a global management and technology consulting firm with offices in Canada, the US, Mexico and Europe.  Christian has been a trusted advisor to the North American payments industry for over 15 years and is a leading emerging payments and technology executive, known for driving innovation within organizations to create competitive advantage.  

 

Most recently as Vice President, Product Development at EnStream, Christian was responsible for the strategy, design, and delivery of the Zoompass mobile wallet, NFC experience, and International Money Remittance Service.  He implemented such firsts as Western Union’s International Mobile Money Transfer service (which allows users to send and receive money transfers directly from their mobile device to/from any Western Union location in the world), and the Zoompass Mobile Tag, which allows subscribers to tap and pay with their mobile device at any MasterCard PayPass enabled retailer.

 

Prior to joining EnStream, Christian served as Vice President of Strategic Technology at Metaca Corporation (a leading card manufacturing & personalization bureau).  He was responsible for the strategy, solution, and execution of technologies, card programs, strategic partnerships, and IT service delivery for all customers throughout Canada and the United States. During his tenure, Christian worked with numerous international stakeholders in the payments ecosystem (i.e. Visa, MasterCard, Interac, Oberthur, CIBC, RBC, Telus, Bell, Canadian Tire, Sears, Dish Network etc.) to adopt emerging technologies and standards, as well as to develop new products and solutions, including execution of the largest smartcard fulfillment program in North America for DirecTV. Christian attended Ryerson University and is a member of the Queen’s School of Business Executive Alumni at Queen’s University.
