Toronto, Ontario – October 18th, 2011 – The International Institute of Mobile Technologies (IIMT- www.iimt.ca) is pleased to announce that on October 27th, 2011 two of our Executive Team members, Shayan Mashatian and Amy ter Haar, will be delivering a workshop at ITU Telecom World 2011 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Mashatian and ter Haar will deliver a workshop entitled Micro-Finance, Micro-Enterprises and Mobiles, in which they will address how mobile technologies can help micro-financed micro-enterprise organizations reach their maximum potential. In particular, the capacity of mobile technology to support scalable, sustainable operating practices by providing easier access to market data, expanding target markets and increasing such organizations’ social capital are just some of the areas to be discussed.
Participants will learn, benefit from and be able to apply successes from other environments to their own micro-enterprise ecosystem.
“We are very eager to share our knowledge and expertise with policy makers and technology leaders in Geneva” said Mashatian, founder and President of the Institute of Mobile Technologies. “It is a very exciting time for us because we are also concurrently launching the Mobile Technology Management Program with partner universities around the world”
We look forward to sharing insights, lessons learned and best practices for building a better connected world with our esteemed peers at ITU Telecom World 2011.
